Weekend Recap no.1
As I write this I am already a week behind on editing videos. YouTubers make it look so easy compiling raw footage (multiple camera angles) editing and putting out an engaging video that details the process of whatever they are doing while maintaining the work to life balance. With that said, I thought I would take the time to create a weekly recap of all the things I get done over the weekend as a reference guide for you and an accountability tool for myself.
Finish face up of the head. Later, I went back in and simplified the eyes of the doll to make her stare more piercing. Less is more
My biggest success over the weekend was assembling and constructing the body of my doll. I used a softer wire for the core of the body to make it easier for general movement. The padding is built out from cotton batting and athletic tape, and eventually a nude fabric will be sewn onto the body of the doll for a nice finish.
First time blushing limbs, but they add a nice touch. Unfortunately one of the toes broke off in a drop from the desk to the floor. I used super glue to put it back on but it doesn’t make me secure is the durability of this one. I wonder if my lack of condition made this for suspectable to break as there was also a crack in the palm of the hand (shown above) Super glue came to the rescue again. I did buy a pasta machine just in case that happened to be an issue.
The length of her arms are quite noticeable in this photo.
